Cute, but problem with size

This is as cute in person as it is in the picture, however it doesn't even come close to fitting my son's head. I ordered the medium and according to their size chart should be a 4T (he's currently 2 and half). The hat I received looks like it should be for an infant. I'm planning on exchanging it to the XL (size 7) because it will look really cute with his swim suit.

Great hat.

My son is 5 months and he just outgrew the 0-6 month size so I bought the next size up 6-12 months. Fits big but to be expected. The hat lays nicely and protects his face. Very cute and very happy. (He's at 40 percentile on head circumference).

I have a 4 month old son that I bought this hat for. He has a 18 inch Circumference head so I chose medium. My kid has about 2 - 3 more inches of head size to grow before he will fit in it. I wish they would tell you the circumference in the sizes they offer so you have a better idea of the size you need. Unfortunately he will probably not grow into it before the summer is over. It is really cute however and lightweight with a big lip to offer lots of shade for his eyes and neck.
