These are interesting little pants, The fit is "adjustable" so the newborn wasn't swimming in them. They are cute. :)

good shape, bad fastening

I love these pants in theory. I love the slimness and the lack of waistband. The awful drawback is that the velcro is adhered to the pants only with some sort of glue, and the edges of the velcro start pulling loose from regular use. I ended up sewing the edges of the velcro strips to keep them attached to the pants. I bought two pairs of these pants and it happened to both of them so I'm sure it wasn't a fluke. I don't like to sew and I'm a busy working mom, so the fact that I took the time to sew these pants is a testament to how much I liked the look and fit.
